Showcasing Manchester as a leading innovation destination

The Story

Funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), Capital Enterprise created and delivered a year-long AI accelerator in partnership with Turing Innovation Catalyst (TIC), putting Manchester on the map as a hub for AI and Deep Tech. They built a thriving ecosystem through accelerators, Demo Days, investor connections and partnerships with research hubs and universities. As funding closed, we showcased their success by gathering founder insights and commissioning a national survey that uncovered surprising, newsworthy data. The resulting story landed national and international coverage, securing Manchester’s reputation as a competitive AI innovation destination and strengthening the case for continued investment into tech ecosystems and startup support programmes.

When Capital Enterprise needed to prove the impact of their work building Manchester’s AI and Deep Tech ecosystem and stand out from the Turing Innovation Catalyst’s own PR efforts, they turned to Tuesday.

We unearthed founder stories and commissioned a national survey to generate fresh, newsworthy data.

The result? A distinct, compelling narrative that landed local, regional, national, and international coverage, cementing Manchester’s reputation as a competitive AI innovation hub and strengthening the case for continued UKRI investment. 

We combined founder interviews, ecosystem success stories and original research to create a “made-for-media” package. This approach delivered a positive, high-visibility story to decision makers, highlighting Manchester’s role on the national AI stage and positioning Capital Enterprise as a driving force behind the city’s growth in this transformative sector.
