The Story
After the success of the inaugural Liverpool Slush’D in 2023, we set out to make the 2024 edition even bigger and more impactful. Positioned as “the North’s foremost founder-focused event,” the day was carefully designed to provide actionable insights across every stage of a startup’s journey. With a powerhouse lineup of speakers, live investor pitching and headline-worthy announcements, we helped Director Jonny Clark create a high-energy, content-rich experience. Our marketing, PR and social media efforts amplified the event’s reach, resulting in a 75% boost in LinkedIn engagement and increased Instagram following by 36%. Strategic media outreach secured local, regional, national and global headlines.

When Liverpool Slush’D returned in 2024, we had one goal: top 2023’s success. We positioned it as the North’s must-attend tech founder gathering and created a storytelling strategy that made it impossible to ignore. Discovery & Strategy
- Positioned the event as the go-to gathering for ambitious founders in the North.
- Curated event sessions to deliver value at every stage of a startup’s lifecycle, from pitching to VCs to scaling culture and diversity.
- Partnered with local hospitality businesses to enhance attendee experience and support independent Liverpool traders.
- Secured a star-studded lineup, including Piers Linney (Secret Millionaire and Dragon), Sir Robin Saxby (former ARM CEO), City AM UK Editor Jon Robinson, and Fredrik Hjelm (CEO VOI Technologies).
Campaign Execution
- PR-ed the event, as well as multiple clients. We crafted compelling story angles to keep momentum high and timed press releases to ensure maximum impact on the day.
- Ran a multi-channel social media campaign, collaborating with influencers to expand reach and filming case studies with Liverpool-based founders.
- Invited a key, national journalist from our little black book to attend and gather stories on the day
- A single, well-placed photo opportunity led to a global story syndicated on Yahoo and MSN.
