Looking back at the achievements of 2019

Jan 14, 2020 · Sophie Wilson

2019 was our second year in business and it really was incredible. Here are some of the highlights:

We kicked off by announcing four new client wins: proptech app FirstHomeCoach, skincare brand Balmonds (formerly Pure Potions), insights agency Question & Retain and podcast company Bengo Media.

MultipleFirstHomeCoach is a digital platform that guides first-time property buyers through the entire home-buying process. We took them through our own Storybuilding workshop to build their brand and key messages created a content strategy and a targeted PR thought leadership campaign. We achieved 16 x pieces of coverage in target media, 30.41k estimated coverage views and 3 meetings with key journalists. The articles were shared 135 times on social and generated 12 links for SEO. We also delivered 118 media briefings to keep them informed about the latest relevant industry news.

Natural, reliable, family skincare brand Balmonds was founded by Natalie Balmond and is owned by Andrew Gerrie, CoFounder of Lush Cosmetics and Non-Executive Chairman of Hotel Chocolat Group. We provided Balmonds with Consumer PR services, achieving consistent national news coverage that had a dramatic impact on sales. The first case study placement we achieved in The Sun resulted in tens of thousands of new revenue and rocketed them to number 1 in Amazon’s best beauty buy.

We helped Brighton-based Question & Retain with their branding, messaging and provision of a content strategy. Through our workshop process, we managed to crystallise and distil their unique proposition: a consultancy that helps organisations listen better.

Bengo Media\’s executive team approached us for help with their new brand identity. We took them through our unique Storybuilding process to come up with their strapline that gets to the heart of what they do. Read what their Director said about the experience here. We built Bengo Media\’s brand architecture, key messages and shaped their visual identity, which is soon to come to life in a newly relaunched website. Watch this space.

We went international! We did our first project in Norway, for a long-standing client, art gallery RedHouse Originals. Head Heart Hand was the first international collaboration between Oslo-born artist Danny Larsen and Yorkshire-born Schoph. We provided PR services in Norway, promoting this exciting exhibition to both English and Norwegian media.

Bikes

We took on Rabot 1745, Hotel Chocolat’s beauty brand and provided consumer PR press office and creative campaigns, as well as delivering 3 x press, influencer and blogger events in London and New York.

Multiple

In total, our work reached a 2.34 billion online readership, with 4.36 million estimated coverage views and these articles had over 10,000 social shares.

But perhaps our proudest moment was going up on stage at the Brighton and Hove Business Awards with client Search Seven to collect their CSR Excellence Award. This Hove-based business pledges to give 7% of their profits to charities and local initiatives. The award recognised the great work that Search Seven did with #share7, their year-long fundraising campaign in celebration of their seventh year in business. We provided PR throughout and are looking forward to doing more of the same as they launch a new campaign this year.

And speaking of awards, we were recognised with not one, but two award shortlists for New Agency of the Year!

Behind all of this hard work was a team of over 30 specialists from our home-grown talent pool #tuesdaytalent, working hard behind the scenes to deliver great results for clients. So many of our people went above and beyond – whether it was getting into the English Channel for a shoot with a client case study (in February), spending hours creatively directing photoshoots or zipping around New York in taxis, picking up last-minute props for a press event. And we all had a lot of fun in the process.

What a year! We can\’t wait to see what 2020 will bring…
